What player are people using?

Im getting awful playback quality using badoink player and Oculus rift. My PC is a decent spec and should chew up this video quality:
8700k I7
32gb PC 3400
1080ti
Anyone getting better results with an alternative player.

Have you tried -

Video is choppy and the sounds is like its in slow mo. On both standard oculus and 5k versions

DEO VR works perfectly fine for me.
Make sure the videos you are playing are h.265 versions - most of the very recent ones are but when the site launched they were encoded in h.264 which is less efficient. Most on the site are still h264
Also make sure your video settings in LAV filters is set to Hardware acceleration - NVIDEA CUVID otherwise your processor is doing all the work rather than your GPU
